LOCATION / NEIGHBORHOOD / POINTS OF INTEREST
The apartment is located in Olivos: a town in the Vicente López Municipality-Party, located in the northern part of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. It borders the Río de la Plata to the east and the Pan-American Highway to the west.
In this town is the Presidential Fifth of Olivos, official residence of the President of the Argentine Nation.
It is located 14 km from the center of the City of Buenos Aires and 3 km (10 minutes by car) from the access to it.
The area has several restaurants, bars and countless tourist attractions.

It is located:
3 blocks away from the train station “Retiro-Tigre”.
3 blocks from Av. Del Libertador (where there are restaurants/bars, etc.).
4 blocks from the Port of Olivos
5 blocks from La Quinta de Olivos

The apartment has a location with excellent access by public transport.

MOVING AROUND BUENOS AIRES:
On Av. del Libertador there are several buses available near the apt. And the “Olivos” train station on the Mitre line (Retiro-Tigre).
Public transport: Buenos Aires has a quick, efficient and economical public transport system with more than 180 bus lines linking every area of the city and six underground metro lines, which connect the city’s historic political and financial center with the main avenues, train stations and coach stations.
Public transportation in Bs. As is good, although it gets crowded during rush hours. It is called here “Subte”, which is the abbreviation for ‘Subway’ in Spanish. The network crosses the different neighborhoods of the city of Buenos Aires.

Taxi: it is safe to take any taxi/cab on the streets of Bs.As.

BICENTENARY TRANSPORTATION (Vicente Lopez): ‘Transporte Bicentenario’ is the free community bus line of the municipality of Vicente López and the distinctive feature is that all its units are driven by women. The Bicentennial Communal Transport offers a free service, with priority for people with disabilities, the elderly and children, which traces a route that crosses the municipality from west to east.
All units have free WIFI.

BUENOS AIRES ATTRACTIONS:
• Tigre- North Zone of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Near Buenos Aires, there is a perfect alternative to unplug from the city and connect with nature. In Tigre you will enter a world of islands, infinite canals, streams and rivers. Colonial mansions abound, aristocratic rowing clubs, hundreds of craft shops and a river station from where you can reach an incomparable natural world: the Paraná River Delta.
In Tigre, you can find innumerable attractions and activities: go shopping in the Puerto de Frutos, go rowing through the hidden channels of Tigre, go to the Art Museum and Paseo Victorica. Last but not least, Tigre’s jewel: the Paraná Delta, the fifth largest in the world and the only one that flows into a freshwater course. At the River Station you can get on a collective boat (the transport most used by the islanders, a guarantee of a 100% local experience) or a tourist catamaran, which will take you through its rivers and where you will discover a completely different lifestyle.
• Palermo Rose Garden “ El Rosedal” – Isabel, Infanta Av. 900
A garden with more than 18,000 roses surrounded by a lake in the heart of Tres de Febrero park.
The rose garden (rosedal in Spanish) is more than a century old and has received the international Garden Excellence Award from the World Federation of Rose Societies. As well as its roses, it features a lake with a Greek-influenced bridge, an amphitheatre, an Andalusian patio and a poets’ garden with 26 busts of famous writers including Alfonsina Storni, Dante Alighieri, William Shakespeare and Jorge Luis Borges.

1. Fine Arts Museum ‘Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes’ – Defensa 1600.
View one of the best art collections in Latin America, including the largest collection of Argentine art around.
The National Museum of Fine Arts houses one of the best art collections in Latin America, and the biggest collection of Argentine art. Located in the Recoleta neighborhood, and part of the Museum Mile, it’s permanent collection includes work by El Greco, Goya, Rodin, Rembrandt, Rubens, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Chagall and Picasso.
Argentine painters include Cándido López, Lino Enea Spilimbergo, Prilidiano Pueyrredón, Fernando Fader, Benito Quinquela Martín, Xul Solar, Antonio Berni, Carlos Alonso y Antonio Seguí.

2. Casa Rosada Museum Av. Paseo Colón 100. (for free)
In one of the city’s most important buildings, this museum opened in the year 2011 to celebrate the bicentenary of Argentina’s revolution of Independence. The museum is located behind the Casa Rosada governmental palace and is a must for anyone interested in history and architecture.

3. Planetarium Galileo Galilei – ‘Planetario Galileo Galilei’ – Av. Sarmiento y Av. Roldan Belisario.
The Planetarium is the main center for the dissemination of astronomy in the city. It has a hemispherical projection room with 360 reclining seats and a 20-meter-diameter dome where nearly 8,900 stars, planets, and satellites of the universe are reproduced, thanks to an impressive equipment (unique in Latin America) that contains six Sky-Sky projectors. Skan with 8K resolution, indicating that the dome contains 38 million pixels.

4. Quinquela Martín Museum – Av. Don Pedro de Mendoza 1835. (for free)
This museum has a large collection of oil paintings and etchings made by the artist Benito Quinquela Martín between 1922 and 1967, as well as work by other artists representative of some of the big movements in Argentine art during the 20th century. There’s also a collection of ship figureheads, making the museum as intriguing as the neighborhood where it’s located – the colorful La Boca.
